Job summary

ATNS SOC Limited is seeking a Manager Air Traffic Services to lead the Air Traffic Service Unit at Johannesburg’s Lanseria region, ensuring safe, orderly, and efficient ATS delivery in line with ICAO standards and company policy. The role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and continuous service improvement.

You will drive the development and execution of the unit’s business plan, oversee governance, and manage performance against targets, budgets, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Current Air Traffic Control qualification (Aerodrome and Approach) is required.
• Formal leadership training (Management Development Program) or Business Management qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in ATC/ATM operations, with at least 5 years at Watch Manager/ATSU Manager level.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to the Air Traffic Service Unit to ensure service delivery and align with ATNS strategy.
• Lead design, implementation and management of the Air Traffic Service Unit business plan and governance.
• Drive delivery of projects within the Unit strategy within budget and quality standards.
• Build relationships with customers to align ATS operations with client needs and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SA Civil Aviation Regulations and ICAO standards and participate in industry forums.
