Job summary

Isilumko Staffing is seeking an experienced retail supervisor for a clothing retailer in Cape Town. You will manage staff planning to meet productivity, supervise shop operations, stock, and cash handling in the manager's absence.

Responsibilities include stock control, promotions, merchandising, and ensuring accurate stock takes, while maintaining security and customer service standards. The role requires 3 years in clothing retail, Grade 12, and AVATAR/POS literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff planning to meet productivity.
• Supervise staff, shop, stock and monies in manager's absence.
• Manage staff performance.
• Ensure shop opening and closing as per company requirements.
• Handle cash up & banking procedures including responsibility for all monies.
• Manage & control sensitive transactions eg: voids, cash refunds.
• Ensure lay bye procedures are done correctly.
• Floor security and shrinkage control.
• Stock control management including administration, receiving and dispatch.
• Responsible for float security, tills and/or manage floats.
• Monitor departments for theft.
• Handle customer queries.
• Merchandising and replenishment of stock and display areas.
• Action and manage promotions and sales.
• Responsible for markdowns and in-store action.
• Keep merchandise in order:
• Stock room management.
• Assist with general store administration: Stock takes & stock spot checks.
• Prepare for stock takes.
• Assist and supervise staff, stock and monies.
• Store administration as per policies. Assist with staff training.
• Responsible for store and safe keys and all store assets.
• Perform ad hoc duties.
