Job summary

Persona Staff is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant in South Africa to support in-store queries, sales, and stock management across retail and e-commerce operations.

The role involves POS usage, product updates online, inventory tasks, and ensuring a clean, well-stocked shop environment. Strong communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate required.
• Retail or shop assistant experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable with POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with stock and data.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, hands-on team player willing to assist across areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store with product queries and purchases.
• Operate POS system for sales, returns and transactions.
• Book stock in and out of the system accurately.
• Assist with stock takes and inventory management.
• Maintain accurate product information and stock levels.
• Load new products onto the online store.
• Update product descriptions, pricing and images on the system.
• Monitor online orders and assist with processing and fulfilment.
• Support general administrative tasks related to retail and e-commerce operations.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked retail environment.
