Job summary

Carrol Boyes in South Africa is seeking a Store Manager to drive sales, lead a premium retail team, and ensure brand standards across all store operations. You will manage daily activities, stock control, and frontline customer service to deliver exceptional experiences.

You will recruit and develop staff, schedule shifts, monitor KPIs, and report performance to management while upholding health, safety and loss-prevention policies. Experience with luxury brands is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 minimum requirement.
• Additional qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of retail and retail management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson.
• Strong customer service, stock management and communication skills.
• Luxury brands experience an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales to achieve and exceed targets.
• Lead on the sales floor, engaging customers and closing sales.
• Analyse sales reports, trends and KPIs to identify growth opportunities.
• Implement promotional activities and visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines.
• Ensure delivery of exceptional, consistent customer service at all times.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally and timeously.
• Recruit, onboard, train and develop store staff.
• Create and manage staff schedules for optimal coverage.
• Motivate, coach and manage performance of the team.
• Adhere to HR policies and conduct performance discussions.
• Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing procedures.
• Maintain cash handling, banking and reconciliation.
• Ensure stock integrity with control, counts and shrinkage prevention.
• Comply with health, safety and security requirements.
• Manage stock levels to minimize overstock.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Process transfers, deliveries and customer orders correctly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports accurately and on time.
• Communicate operational challenges and performance updates to management.
• Maintain records in line with procedures.
