About the Role

Our client, a well-established and reputable retail brand, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead their flagship store in vibrant Cape Town, Western Cape . This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, exceptional customer service skills, and a passion for retail excellence. You will be responsible for all aspects of store operations, including team management, sales performance, inventory control, visual merchandising, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate is a natural leader, a motivated sales professional, and adept at managing a team to achieve ambitious targets. This on-site position is central to delivering the brand's promise to its valued customers in the Cape Town area.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of retail associates.
• Drive sales performance and achieve store sales targets through effective sales strategies.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock control, to minimize loss and maximize availability.
• Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to create an attractive store environment.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and adherence to labor laws.
• Conduct staff training sessions on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Analyze sales data and store performance metrics to identify trends and implement action plans.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Proven track record of driving sales and achieving store targets.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in inventory management and visual merchandising.
• Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail management software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by retail operations.
