Job summary

Cashbuild Limited seeks an Store Manager for internal applications only. You will protect and grow profitable market share within a store, aligned to the store, division and company strategy, while leading a high-performing team and championing OHSA and safety compliance.

You will drive strategic planning, sales growth, customer service, asset protection and staff development, ensuring budgets are met and standards are maintained across stock, processes and store presentation.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 3 years related retail management experience or 5 years related retail management experience
• Well developed business acumen
• Ability to work under pressure
• Computer literacy (Basic)
• Strong leadership and administrative skills
• Own transport and valid driver’s license preferred
• Own cell phone
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety (OHSA) compliance
• Strong Human Resources Management skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Store aligned with the divisional strategy
• Grow sales and market share in-store and ensure budgets and growth objectives
• Manage customer service strategy and maintain/optimize delivery service
• Control shrinkage and protect assets (cash, stock, fixed)
• Ensure relevant trade licenses are up to date
• Oversee manpower planning, succession and staff relations
• Maintain store standards, housekeeping, merchandising policies and readiness for business
• Manage stock ordering, receiving, obsolescence and slow-moving stock
• Ensure OHSA safety standards across the store and incident handling
• Handle store expenses within the budget and insurance claim processes
• Lead CB Way controls and discipline implementations
• Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and planning; delegate effectively and develop team
• Promote market orientation and a client-focused approach
• Practice integrity, accuracy, and continuous personal development
