Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking an experienced Store Manager for an external application in Ezakheni, South Africa. The role focuses on protecting and growing profitable market share in line with company strategy, while leading store operations, customer service, asset control and HR activities.

You will manage strategic plans, drive sales growth, ensure compliance with OHSA and trade licenses, and develop staff through effective leadership and succession planning.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 3 years related retail management experience or 5 years related retail management experience.
• Must have well developed business acumen.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate (Basic computer literacy).
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Must have strong administrative skills.
• Own transport is preferable with valid drivers licence.
• Must have own cell phone.
• Must have sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line with local OHSA and/or neighbouring Countries legislation.
• Must have strong Human Resources Management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage a strategic plan for the Store aligned with the Divisional strategy and initiatives.
• Grow transactions, sales and market share in store as defined in the budget and achieve sales objectives.
• Manage and promote loyalty programs and 3rd party credit; develop action plans to defend markets against competitors.
• Ensure effective Customer Service strategy and Delivery Service in-store.
• Manage shrinkage, protect assets and debtors; monitor security requirements and OHSA compliance.
• Ensure up-to-date trade licenses where applicable; oversee HR management including succession planning and staff relations.
• Maintain store standards through daily floor walks, PIP implementation, housekeeping, merchandising, and readiness for business.
• Oversee stock management, including ordering, damaged stock, obsolete stock and slow-moving stock.
• Implement and maintain CB Way controls, discipline, planning, delegation and performance under pressure.
• Lead with planning, integrity, client focus, and personal development to achieve store objectives and maintain market competitiveness.
