Job summary

Cashbuild Limited in South Africa is seeking a Store Assistant to ensure comprehensive customer service within the designated area, including stock merchandising, shelf price labelling and housekeeping in line with store layout plans.

You will advise and assist customers, help resolve complaints, maintain safety and OHSA compliance, manage stock loss reports and ensure accurate pricing. You must be able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays with accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must have English communication ability and language awareness.
• Basic numerical calculations proficiency.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Valid SA ID or work permit required.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist customers with product selections and queries.
• Assist with and resolve customer complaints.
• Merchandise bulk stock safely and according to layout/plans.
• Ensure area is fully merchandised and pricing is accurate.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe aisle flow; report OHSA issues.
• Report discrepancies and damaged stock to Store Manager.
