Job summary

Zohorecruit in Montagu, South Africa, seeks a SQL / Qlik Cloud Specialist to design ETL pipelines and dashboards. You will build data models, develop reports, and deliver insights for business users, reporting to the BI Manager. The role requires 5–8 years of BI/ETL experience and strong SQL and Qlik Cloud skills.

Based at our Montague Gardens/Cape Town office, you will contribute to advanced analytics and proactive insights, with occasional long hours and time-off-in-lieu as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or equivalent.
• 5–8 years IT experience including T-SQL and SQL Server.
• 4–6 years hands-on Qlik Sense/Cloud (SaaS) with dashboard development and data modelling.
• Experience with ETL, data warehousing and analytics.
• Knowledge of Qlik NPrinting or Qlik Application Automation.
• Azure or cloud platform knowledge advantageous.

Who Are We Looking For

We have a full-time vacancy for a SQL /Qlik Cloud Specialist with at least 5–8 years’ experience with theimplementation of BI solutions for business problems through the design anddevelopment of ETL, databases and reports using SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS, withstrong Qlik Cloud (Qlik Sense SaaS) capability for dashboard development, datamodelling and self-service analytics. The successful candidate will maintainand build BI reporting solutions, develop data models and visualizations, andplay an active role in advanced data analytics and proactive insights for thebusiness and customers.

The successful candidate will report tothe BI Manager and will be stationed at our office in Montague Gardens (CapeTown).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and enhance SQLapplications, ETL processes, databases and reports.
• Develop and maintain Qlik Clouddashboards, data models and self-service analytics applications for internalstakeholders and external customers.
• Perform data analysis by writingrelational and multidimensional database queries.
• Support other BI applications through theprovision of accurate and timely data.
• Analyse and manage BI data sources.
• Perform root cause analyses, fixing bugswhere required.
• Respond to business requests for data andreporting.
• Assist with requirementsgathering, creating technical specification documentation and development ofnew requirements. This includes implementing advanced insights models forbusiness and customers using advanced analytical techniques.
  

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in ComputerScience, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5–8 years’ IT work experience inprogramming and/or systems analysis, including T-SQL, MS SQL Server, SSIS andSSRS.
• At least 4–6 years’ hands-on experiencewith Qlik Sense or Qlik Cloud (SaaS), including dashboard development, dataload scripting, data modelling and set analysis.
• Knowledgeable in SQL and ETL programminglanguages.
• At least 4–6 years’ experience in datawarehousing and advanced data analytics, including dimensionally modelledwarehouses.
• Experience with Qlik NPrinting or QlikApplication Automation
• Knowledge of Big Data tools and skills onCloud platforms like Azure would be advantageous,
• This position will requireoccasional long and irregular hours which will be compensated for time off inlieu of overtime worked.
