Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks an experienced SQL/C# Specialist in Cape Town to design, build, test, and ship BI solutions. You will implement ETL, manage databases, and integrate APIs with external systems while expanding analytics for business insights.

The role reports to the BI Manager and is based at the Montague Gardens office. Minimum 5–8 years in IT with strong SQL Server, SSIS/SSRS and C# experience is required.

Qualifications

SQL / C# Specialist

Who Are We Looking For

We have a full-time vacancy for a SQL / C#Specialist with at least 5–8 years’ experience with the implementation of BIsolutions for business problems through the design and development of ETL,databases and reports using SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS, as well as substantialC# scripting. Maintenance and expanding mission-critical API integrations withexternal systems will be a key responsibility. The successful candidate willalso play an active role in advanced data analytics and the development ofrelated proactive insights for the business and customers.

The successful candidate will report tothe BI Manager and will be stationed at our office in Montague Gardens (CapeTown).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and active monitoring of allactive integrations which include, but are not limited to, POS, EDI, SFTP,REST, SOAP and other API integrations.
• Maintenance and continuous improvements tothe ETL processing.
• Assist with requirements gathering,creating technical specification documentation and development of newrequirements in MS SQL as well as C#. This includes implementing advancedinsights models for business and customers using advanced analytical techniques.
• Database administration ensuringbest-practice maintenance and systems resource utilisation.
• Actively explore AI solutions to createmeaningful insights into our data for both internal and external stakeholders.
  

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in ComputerScience, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5–8 years’ IT work experience inprogramming and/or systems analysis, including T-SQL, MS SQL Server, SSIS andSSRS.
• At least 5–8 years’ experience in C# fordata processing, custom functions and application integrations.
• Experience with SQL Assembly will beadvantageous.
• At least 4–6 years’ experience in datawarehousing and advanced data analytics.
• Solid knowledge and experience withtechnology and application development methodologies.
• Knowledge of Big Data toolsand skills on Cloud platforms like Azure
