Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sports Program Director to oversee and expand their diverse range of sports programs in the Soweto region. This leadership role involves strategic planning, operational management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure delivery of high-quality, accessible and impactful sports initiatives for the community.

Extensive experience in sports program management or a related leadership role.
Proven track record in strategic planning, budget management, and operational oversight.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire diverse teams.
Proven ability in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic plans for growth and enhancement of all sports programs.
Oversee daily operations of programs to ensure high quality and participant satisfaction.
Manage program budgets including financial planning, resource allocation and expenditure control.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of coordinators, coaches, and support staff.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with community leaders, schools, sponsors and sports organizations.
Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements to meet community needs.
