Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to support urban planning initiatives in Soweto, Gauteng. You will assist with planning, design, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects, focusing on public spaces, utilities, and transportation networks.

Working with senior engineers and planners, you will prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD, conduct site investigations, and help produce tender documents and Bills of Quantities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering design or construction.
• Registration as SACPCMP or ECSA is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil engineering software.
• Strong documentation and drawing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and documentation of civil infrastructure projects.
• Prepare drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD.
• Conduct site investigations and data collection.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with specs.
• Liaise with contractors and stakeholders.
