Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to support projects in Soweto and surrounding Gauteng communities. The role focuses on translating designs into practical execution and assisting with design, construction, and maintenance of roads, water, and sanitation infrastructure.

You will work closely with Civil Engineers and Project Managers, perform site inspections, prepare drawings using CAD, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• National Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
• Registered as a Professional Engineering Technician (Pr Tech Eng) or Technologist (Pr Techni Eng) with ECSA, or eligible for registration.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Technician.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other civil engineering design software.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Assist in preparing engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.
• Conduct site inspections and measurements to monitor construction progress and quality.
• Perform basic calculations and analyses related to civil engineering designs.
• Prepare site reports, record keeping, and assist with project documentation.
