You will work within a supportive team, producing drawings, calculations, and specifications, while ensuring adherence to standards and managing tasks to deliver quality public infrastructure projects in Soweto.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in civil engineering with municipal focus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related engineering software.
• Good understanding of municipal standards and local governance processes.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan municipal infrastructure projects (roads, sidewalks, stormwater, water supply).
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD software.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Ensure designs comply with municipal standards and SANS.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, planners, and contractors.
• Assist in tender documentation and construction supervision.
• Review submittions and address site queries.
• Manage tasks to meet timelines and budgets.
• Engage with authorities and community stakeholders.
• Contribute to sustainable, resilient infrastructure solutions.
• Support senior engineers on larger projects.
