Placements24 is seeking a Civil Transportation Engineer in Soweto to develop urban mobility solutions, traffic management, and road network design. You will plan, analyze, and implement transportation projects with a focus on connectivity for Gauteng communities.

The role blends office collaboration with remote work, requiring collaboration with planners and engineers and adherence to SA road standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation specialization.
• Registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng) desirable.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in transportation planning and design.
• Proficiency in traffic modeling software and CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of SA transportation policies and standards.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct traffic studies, analyses, and demand forecasting for urban transportation networks.
• Design road infrastructure including intersections and interchanges.
• Develop traffic management plans and safety assessments.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for transportation projects.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with SA road standards and legislation.
• Manage project components related to transportation engineering and delivery timelines.
• Liaise with municipal authorities and stakeholders.
• Provide technical expertise on traffic engineering principles and best practices.
• Assist in proposals and fee submissions for transportation projects.
