Qualifications

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, curate, and manage an extensive and diverse wine list, focusing on quality, value, and suitability for the menu.

• Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
• Conduct regular wine tastings and staff training sessions for front-of-house personnel.
• Maintain relationships with wine suppliers, negociating prices and sourcing unique wines.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing and legal requirements for alcohol service.
• Monitor wine sales performance and implement strategies to drive revenue and profitability.
• Stay current with wine trends, emerging regions, and new vintages.

Requirements

• Advanced certification from a recognized sommelier institution (e.g., WSET Level 3/4, Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced/Master Sommelier).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sommelier or in a senior wine-focused role within the hospitality industry.
• Extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, vintages, and food pairings.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests confidently.
• Experience in inventory management and cellar operations.
