Job summary

SPEC Africa (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a technically skilled Pre-Sales Engineer to join our Gauteng team. You will develop technical and commercial proposals, price tenders, evaluate technical specs and design compliant solutions across security, electrical, mechanical and infra projects.

You will coordinate with suppliers and clients, identify risks and support successful project delivery. The role requires reviewing specifications, drawings and site conditions, producing detailed estimates, and

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Engineering required.
Experience with engineering estimating, tendering and BOQs.
Ability to interpret drawings and prepare technical docs.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Responsibilities

Develop technical and commercial proposals for projects across security, electronic, electrical, mechanical and infra.
Review drawings and site conditions to prepare compliant solutions and submissions.
Prepare and price tenders, quotations and detailed estimates for equipment, labour and subcontractors.
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations; confirm pricing and lead times.
Coordinate technical tender returnables and client clarifications.
Identify scope, cost and contractual risks; support client presentations and handovers.
Engage with clients to clarify requirements and maintain liaison throughout projects.
