About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Social Impact Manager to lead and amplify our charitable initiatives in the vibrant community of Stellenbosch . This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that create lasting positive change. You will be responsible for identifying key social needs, developing innovative solutions, and forging strong partnerships with local stakeholders, including academic institutions and community organizations. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining essential in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive social impact strategy aligned with our client's mission and values. Identify key social challenges and opportunities within the Stellenbosch community and design targeted intervention programs. Oversee the full lifecycle of social programs, from conceptualization and design to implementation and evaluation. Build and nurture strategic partnerships with local NGOs, government agencies, educational institutions, and corporate social responsibility departments. Manage program budgets, resources, and timelines effectively. Establish robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure program impact and demonstrate outcomes. Collect and analyze data to inform program strategy and report on progress to stakeholders. Lead and mentor a team of program officers and community engagement specialists. Represent our client in relevant forums, conferences, and community dialogues. Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in social impact and non-profit management.

Requirements

Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in program management, social impact assessment, or non-profit leadership. Proven track record of designing and successfully implementing impactful social programs. Strong understanding of the socio-economic landscape of Stellenbosch and the Western Cape. Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in developing and managing budgets, grant writing, and fundraising. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience with monitoring and evaluation methodologies and data analysis.
