Job summary

homechoice, a leading South African homeware retailer, seeks a Showroom Manager for the Kuruman showroom. You will drive sales targets, maintain high standards, lead a diverse team, manage stock and finances, and ensure an exceptional customer experience in line with brand values.

The role offers leadership of a showroon environment, cross-functional collaboration, and active involvement in promotions, training, and governance processes within a permanent setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a retail, sales-driven environment.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading and managing teams.
• Proven ability to manage performance, expenses, shrinkage, and customer service.
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• A tertiary qualification in Retail, Sales, or Marketing.
• Strong computer literacy and experience using retail systems and MS Office.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Clear credit and criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Drive showroom sales performance against targets, budgets and growth objectives.
• Lead daily performance discussions and set clear sales priorities.
• Coach the team to improve conversion, upselling, cross-selling and basket value.
• Deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience aligned to the brand.
• Lead, motivate and inspire a diverse showroom team and manage scheduling.
• Ensure strict compliance with stock controls, merchandising and store standards.
• Oversee financial controls, expenses, cash handling and reconciliations.
• Support training interventions and ensure staff complete inductions and signoffs.
