Job summary

Phakisa Holdings in Heidelburg, Gauteng, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to manage vessel tracking, documentation, and freight coordination. This permanent role requires strong logistics experience and accuracy in admin tasks.

The successful candidate will liaise daily with suppliers, couriers, and warehouse teams, ensure on-time deliveries, and handle cost sheets and imports/exports documentation in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Track vessels, update dates, report on delays on shipments
• Preparation of container stock with suppliers
• Updates on supplier invoices and documentation
• Reconcile and validate supplier orders
• Completion of import and export documentation
• Stock transfers
• Liaise with stock controllers daily
• Updates to branches on container deliveries and transfers
• Booking of container loadings
• Create and capture shipping cost sheets
• Work with GRNs
• Arrange cover for shipments
• Obtain freight estimates
• Arrange courier for stock, parts, samples
• Liaise with couriers and suppliers daily
• Liaise with warehouse controllers daily
• Monitor to ensure efficient delivery dates
• Submit payment requests
• Submit customs documentation
• Comfortable with foreign currency conversions
• General assistance to National Consumables Manager
