Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor for a major chemical manufacturing facility in Rustenburg, North West. You will lead a team of operators, ensure safe, compliant production, and drive efficiency across the shift.

The role requires 4–6 years in chemical plant operations with supervisory exposure, strong leadership, and hands‑on familiarity with DCS/PLC systems. Shift work including nights and weekends is expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of chemical plant operations experience with supervisory exposure.
• Experience with process equipment, control systems, and safety procedures in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office and production management software.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and lead a team of plant operators and technicians during shift operations.
• Ensure all production activities comply with safety policies, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Optimize production schedules and resources to meet targets.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote safety culture.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products for the shift.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of chemical processing equipment.
• Train and mentor new operators on procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and quality control to resolve issues.
