Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor for a major chemical manufacturing facility in Rustenburg, North West. You will lead a team of operators, ensure safe, compliant production, and drive efficiency across the shift.

The role requires 4–6 years in chemical plant operations with supervisory exposure, strong leadership, and hands‑on familiarity with DCS/PLC systems. Shift work including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of chemical plant operations experience with supervisory exposure.
• Experience with process equipment, control systems, and safety procedures in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office and production management software.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and operational efficiency during your assigned shift. • Proven experience with process equipment, control systems (DCS/PLC), and safety procedures in a chemical manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes and principles relevant to the plant's operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Proficiency in safety management systems and environmental compliance.
• Computer literacy, including experience with MS Office and production management software.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
