Job summary

Ikwezi Mining (Pty) Ltd is seeking a shift supervisor to manage the Packing Plant, ensuring production targets and good housekeeping. You will supervise lines 1 and 2, coordinate duties, and generate shift reports to track performance.

The role requires 2–3 years in manufacturing, with emphasis on discipline, teamwork, and problem-solving under pressure. Cement-industry experience is preferred; safety and quality adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate.
• 2–3 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably in cement.
• Experience in fabricating, fitting and maintaining mechanical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise manpower-related planning.
• Maintain 350 pallets per shift production target.
• Supervise Packing Plant operations (Lines 1 & 2).
• Generate hourly and shift reports.
• Ensure housekeeping and cleaning at end of shift.
• Submit reports after every shift.
• Oversee Bulk Bag operations.
• Coordinate and allocate duties to staff.
• Ensure the department meets production targets.
• Conduct routine checks to keep areas neat and orderly.
• Assist with breakdowns and maintenance.
