Job summary

3L Consulting (Pty) Ltd in Chloorkop, Kempton Park, Gauteng, seeks an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to lead the Converting Production team in Chloorkop. Reporting to Production & Factory Manager, the role drives productivity, quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5 years in manufacturing, a National Diploma or higher in a relevant field, strong leadership, problem solving, and focuses on housekeeping and process control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Diplomas or degrees in engineering/operations management demonstrate technical foundation.
• Supervisory/progressive leadership development is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the converting production process and achieve shift targets with zero defects.
• Maintain product quality, safety and SHERQ compliance.
• Lead production personnel: attendance, discipline and on-shift coaching.
• Ensure raw materials are available to support production schedules.
• Assist with machine changeovers and Short Interval Control.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the production environment.
• Ensure CIL – Cleaning, Inspection and Lubrication routines are completed.
• Update production data and reporting accurately.
• Act as a mini business manager, promoting maintenance ownership.
• Foster Manufacturing Excellence practices using DMS and check sheets.
