Job summary

MyCareerCraft seeks a hands-on Manufacturing/Production Team Leader to supervise a shift on a permanent basis in Port Elizabeth. You will lead a proactive team, ensure machines run smoothly, and uphold quality and safety standards on the floor.

Responsibilities include driving production targets, coordinating maintenance, controlling costs and collaborating across departments to keep operations flowing. Strong leadership and technical background are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric with Maths and Science (Higher Grade) is required.
• Diploma in a Technical or Production-related field.
• Technical or Production-related Certificate (NQF 5) Trade Test.
• First Line Management Certificate (NQF 5).
• 5+ years in production/maintenance in manufacturing, with 2+ years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead your shift, motivate and support the team to hit production targets.
• Ensure smooth production with optimal use of resources, machines and people.
• Maintain high quality checks, safety compliance and housekeeping.
• Plan ahead to prevent breakdowns and arrange maintenance.
• Manage costs, stay on budget and look for savings.
• Collaborate with other departments to keep operations flowing.
• Document production records, maintenance logs, and safety checks.
