Job summary

Sibanye Stillwater is seeking a candidate to oversee shaft maintenance, ensure safe operations and maintain compliance with company policies. The role involves planning, documentation, and coordinating resources to support continuous operations.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, reporting, and maintaining effective communications with stakeholders across the organisation, while upholding SHE standards and cost-saving measures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
• Onsetters Certificate.
• Blasting Certificate.
• At least 2-4 years’ experience within the shaft maintenance environment
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area
• Clear security screening record.

• Plan execution of work orders.
• Accurately complete documentation and administration as required.
• Compiling reports for management.
• Ensuring accuracy of technical data.
• Maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Adhering to cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.
• Align to international responsible mining principles.
• Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.
• Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Allocating resources and equipment according to priorities.
• Communicating resource requirements.
• Inspecting shaft and installations for defects.
• Ensuring the effectiveness of pipe and equipment installations.
• Assisting with shaft equipment maintenance.
