Job summary

Sibanye Stillwater is seeking a Technical Training Manager to lead internal and external engineering training programs, address skills gaps, and prove competency in line with business needs. You will coordinate training, assess progress, and drive cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes SHE compliance, QMS alignment, and cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational excellence within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Clear credit record.
• 5 years overall HRD experience (internal from HRD).
• 5 years’ experience as a Shift Supervisor (external from HRD).
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.

Responsibilities

• Technical Training Management duties.
• Implement and facilitate Technical Training, materials, practices, methodology and procedures to improve competency levels.
• Achieve QCTO/NAMB, SETA and QMS (ISO9001:2015) accreditation for compliance.
• Compile Technical Training Learners Progress Reports (daily, weekly and monthly).
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels and cross-functionally.
• Ensure open communication with all relevant stakeholders.
• Source, contract and negotiate with service providers.
• Coordinate environmental management requirements alignment.
• Collaborate with external providers on tool design and implementation to improve processes.
• Lead cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Training Management
• Implement and facilitate Technical Training, materials, practices, methodology and procedures to the improve competency levels within the organisation

• Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.

• Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department.
• Adhere to SHE principles within the Technical Training (Engineering) in line with Unit objectives to monitor compliance to Operational Health and Safety requirements.
• Facilitate risk assessments and take appropriate action to eliminate/mitigate risk exposures
• Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. Quality Management System (QMS):
• Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System.
• Implement documentation and systems within the Quality Management System (QMS) to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
