Job summary

Sibanye Stillwater is seeking a qualified Supervisor to lead planning and execution of mining activities on site in Brits, North West. You will manage the execution schedule, safety compliance, logistics, and stakeholder coordination to ensure efficient production and safe operations.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in a related role, with relevant certificates and a valid driver's license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications required: Supervisor Operations certificate of competence, Mine Planning certificate of competence, NQF 4 or equivalent.
• Certifications above are mandatory for this role and must be current.
• Equivalent qualifications may be considered where applicable but the listed certificates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and planning of mine activities to optimize production.
• Create and monitor the execution schedule in MineRP Work Manager under the guidance of Mine Overseers.
• Coordinate logistics and maintain all relevant office administration.
• Ensure shifts start up and close out documents are complete and accurate.
• Generate work orders with safety instructions as directed by Mine Overseers.
• Monitor weekly allocation of work per resource and adjust as needed.
• Support reconciliation processes and update mining actuals to inform planning.
• Maintain asset availability and liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
• Contribute to the safety, health and environmental standards and practices.
• Drive cost saving and cash conservation initiatives within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduling
• Create and monitor the execution schedule in MineRP Work Manager under the guidance of the Mine Overseers
• Conduct all relevant logistics and office administration
• Ensure that all shifts start up and close out documents are in order
• Generate workorders with proper safety instructions or as directed by Mine Overseers
• Monitor weekly allocation of work per resource
• Monitor, implement and facilitate effective reconciliation processes under the guidance of others
• Update mining actuals to inform the execution and planning process
• Monitor and management of resource availability
• Support the planning cycle as needed
• Ensure and maintain a healthy environment, safe operations and practices
• Report failure or problems with the MineRP system to the relevant people Stakeholder Relations
• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally.
• Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
• Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers.
• Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable.
• Collaborating with external service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance processes
