Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions in East London is seeking a service adviser to join a new division. You will greet customers, book vehicles for servicing, capture concerns, prepare estimates, and liaise between customers and workshop technicians to ensure customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, at least 3 years in a franchise dealership, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work under pressure. You will help keep customers informed and uphold safety and dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric is required.
• Minimum 3 years as a Service Advisor in a franchise.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally.
• Book in vehicles for servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Capture customer concerns and service requirements accurately.
• Explain job cards, estimates and timelines to customers.
• Liaise between customers and workshop technicians.
• Keep customers informed on progress and additional work.
• Obtain approval for additional repairs or costs.
• Ensure work meets manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Handle queries, complaints and concerns professionally.
• Ensure all documentation is completed and filed correctly.
• Process invoices and explain charges at collection.
• Maintain strong customer relationships for repeat business.
• Coordinate vehicle handovers and confirm satisfaction.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Work with parts and service departments to ensure efficiency.
• Meet daily, weekly and monthly service targets and KPIs.
