Placements24 is partnering with a leader in user-centric digital platforms to hire a Senior UX Researcher in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on understanding user needs and behaviors to inform intuitive digital product design.

You will conduct qualitative and quantitative studies, analyze data, and translate findings into actionable insights. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers in a hybrid setting, mentoring junior researchers and advancing UX practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of UX research experience with impactful studies.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools.
• Portfolio showcasing UX research work is highly recommended.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan, design, and execute a wide range of user research studies, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and ethnographic research.
• Analyze data using qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover user needs, pain points, and behaviors.

About the Role

Our client, a leader in developing user-centric digital platforms, is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join their innovative team. Situated in the arid but strategically important city of Upington, Northern Cape , this role plays a critical part in understanding user needs and behaviors to inform the design of intuitive and effective digital products. You will be responsible for designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies, analyzing findings, and translating them into actionable insights that drive product strategy and design decisions. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of various research methodologies, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for advocating for the user. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing company in the Northern Cape and shape the user experience of impactful digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute a wide range of user research studies, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and ethnographic research.
• Analyze research data using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover user needs, pain points, and behaviors.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX research, with a proven track record of conducting impactful research studies.
• Extensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Proficiency in using research tools and platforms (e.g., UserTesting.com, Maze, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and persuasively.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A portfolio showcasing your UX research work is highly recommended.
