Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng, is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our client’s digital solutions team. The role blends in-office collaboration with remote flexibility, and focuses on translating complex user needs into intuitive interfaces across web and mobile products.

You will lead research, create personas, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems, working closely with product managers and developers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional UX/UI design experience.
• Strong portfolio showing user-centered design, wireframing and prototyping.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development and collaboration with product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve design systems and style guides for consistency across products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
• Proven expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and visual design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Solid understanding of user-centered design methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Portfolio showcasing a strong track record of designing successful digital products.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus.
• Knowledge of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is beneficial.
