Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/UX Designer to join its fully remote team. Based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA, this role focuses on translating complex user needs into intuitive interfaces for cutting-edge products.

You will lead user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and contribute to design systems while collaborating with product managers and engineers in an Agile environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in design or HCI.
• 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficient with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design and usability.
• Experience in user research and usability testing.
• Excellent visual design, typography, color, and layout.
• Experience in Agile development.
• Strong communication and collaboration for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and define user needs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI kits to ensure consistency across all products.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and implement user interface designs.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and technical constraints.
• Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Present design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design methodologies and usability principles.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Excellent visual design skills with a strong sense of typography, color, and layout.
• Ability to articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
