Placements24 seeks a Senior UI/UX Designer to join a remote-first team in Johannesburg. Lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile apps, from research to high-fidelity prototyping, ensuring user-centric outcomes that drive business goals.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and stakeholders, build and maintain design systems, mentor junior designers, and stay ahead of UI/UX trends while delivering high-quality, accessible design solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision or similar.
• Strong user research, interaction design, IA and visual design.
• Experience in Agile environments and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research via interviews, surveys and usability testing.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful digital product design.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience in a remote-first or hybrid work setting.
