Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Threat Intelligence Analyst to lead threat intelligence efforts on a fully remote team. You will develop and execute TI strategies, lead a team of analysts, and report insights to executive leadership.

You will shape strategic TI programs, collaborate with incident response and engineering, and stay ahead of global threat actors using OSINT, malware analysis, and Python automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, IR, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in threat intelligence or security analysis.
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of threat actors, TTPs, and geopolitical trends.
• Proficiency in OSINT methodologies, malware analysis, and network forensics.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with cyber frameworks, TIPs, and security tools.
• Experience developing and delivering strategic intelligence products.
• Ability to work remotely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intel from OSINT, dark web, and telemetry.
• Develop threat models to understand adversaries and TTPs.
• Manage and mentor a team of threat intelligence analysts.
• Produce timely intelligence reports, briefings, and alerts for leadership.
• Develop and maintain strategic threat intel programs aligned with risk appetite.
• Collaborate with IR and SOC teams during active threats.
• Build relationships with external intel sharing communities and agencies.
• Evaluate new tools/technologies to enhance TI capabilities.
• Deliver training on TI best practices to internal teams.
• Contribute to the cybersecurity strategy with insights on threat landscape.
