Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst for a fully remote, remote-first global team. You will lead in-depth research on threat actors, malware, and cyber attack trends; assess risk to client ecosystems; and produce timely, actionable intelligence to guide security decisions across industries worldwide.

The role demands expertise with OSINT, dark web research, and threat intel platforms (e.g., MISP, ThreatConnect), plus Python scripting and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of threat intelligence analysis or cybersecurity research experience.
• Proven ability to research and analyze complex cyber threats.
• Strong understanding of threat actor motivations, TTPs, and attack methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on threat actors, malware, and cyber attack trends.
• Analyze threat data from OSINT, dark web, and commercial feeds.
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence platforms and databases.
• Produce timely, actionable threat intelligence reports and alerts for clients.
• Map TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK and other models.
• Collaborate with incident response and security operations teams.
• Identify and track emerging threats relevant to client industries.
• Develop and refine intelligence collection requirements.
• Present findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
