Placements24 seeks a specialized Thermal Systems Engineer to join our Centurion team in Gauteng. The role focuses on designing, analyzing, and testing thermal management solutions for advanced industrial applications, with hands-on responsibilities on-site.

You will develop innovative heat transfer systems, run CFD simulations, select materials, and validate prototypes through rigorous laboratory testing, collaborating with manufacturing and QA to ensure reliable integration into final products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with thermodynamics focus.
• Minimum 5 years in thermal system design and analysis.
• Proficiency in thermal simulation software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL) and CAD tools.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat exchangers, and phase change materials.
• Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and on-site work ability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop thermal management systems including cooling and heating solutions.
• Perform heat transfer analysis and CFD simulations to predict performance.
• Specify materials and components for efficiency, durability, cost.
• Conduct experimental testing and validation of thermal prototypes.
• Troubleshoot thermal issues during development and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and QA to integrate systems into products.
