Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with Thermal specialization.
• Minimum 7 years hands-on experience in thermal design and analysis.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Thermal Engineer to contribute to their advanced technology projects, with a flexible work arrangement supporting remote engagement, though occasional visits to our Centurion facility may be required. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and optimization of thermal management solutions for complex systems. You will be at the forefront of innovation, tackling challenges related to heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and component cooling. We seek an individual with a proven track record in thermal engineering who thrives in an innovative environment and can independently drive critical aspects of thermal design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze thermal management systems, including heat sinks, fans, heat pipes, and liquid cooling solutions.
• Perform complex computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) simulations to predict thermal performance.
• Develop test plans and conduct experiments to validate simulation results and system performance.
• Collaborate with hardware design teams to integrate thermal solutions into product designs.
• Identify opportunities for thermal performance improvements and cost reductions.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and present findings to engineering and management teams.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Thermal Sciences.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in thermal design and analysis.
• Expertise in thermal simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, or similar.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with thermal testing methodologies and instrumentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills suitable for a remote work environment.
