Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecoms Support Engineer to join our client in Queenstown. You will provide expert-level support for complex telecom systems, act as escalation point, and help ensure network reliability.

You have 5+ years in advanced telecom support, strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP, MPLS, Ethernet, and wireless tech, plus excellent communication and mentoring skills. Hybrid work and competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in advanced technical support for telecommunications networks.
In-depth knowledge of VoIP, SIP, MPLS, Ethernet, and wireless technologies.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority issues.

Responsibilities

Provide expert-level technical support for intricate telecommunications systems and network issues.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems related to voice, data, and video services.
Act as an escalation point for junior support staff, providing guidance and mentoring.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
Participate in testing and rollout of new network services and equipment.
