Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
• Proven experience in architecting complex solutions for enterprise and service provider environments.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end telecommunications solutions encompassing network, compute, storage, and application layers.
• Translate business needs and technical requirements into detailed architectural designs and specifications.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance service offerings and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with pre-sales teams to understand customer requirements and propose optimal solutions.
• Develop proof-of-concept designs and conduct technical feasibility studies.
• Create high-level and low-level design documents, including network diagrams, data flows, and system integrations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in telecommunications.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.
• Present technical solutions and architectural concepts to stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration with remote work.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior architects and engineers.
• Must be based in or near Benoni, Gauteng.
