Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Systems Analyst for a client in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will evaluate, design and implement complex telecom systems to meet current and future business needs and ensure optimal network performance.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of VoIP, MPLS, fiber optics, and cloud platforms, plus strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate with engineering, IT and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 6+ years in telecom systems analysis, design, or engineering.
• Knowledge of VoIP, MPLS, cellular networks, fiber optics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data interpretation ability.
• Experience with documentation and technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current telecom systems and identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats.
• Design and propose architectures to meet business objectives.
• Develop system specifications, requirements, and technical docs.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendors to enhance networks.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses for upgrades and implementations.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT and business units for integration and deployment.
