Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure design, deployment and support.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optics, DWDM, Ethernet, IP networking and wireless technologies.
• Experience with network planning tools and simulation software.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network hardware and software issues.
• Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, PMP) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage telecommunications network infrastructure, including fiber optic networks, microwave links, and cellular backhaul.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for new infrastructure deployments.
• Install, configure, and test network hardware and software components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on network planning and capacity management.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for network deployment and operation.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance network performance and capabilities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments.
