Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Infrastructure Manager for the Nelspruit area. You will lead design, deployment, and lifecycle management of telecom infrastructure, balancing on-site leadership with remote flexibility.

You will drive strategic roadmaps, oversee data centers and networks, and manage vendor contracts and budgets. A strong background in ITIL, PMP, and cross-functional team leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or Telecommunications; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years in telecommunications infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience with networks, data centers and transmission systems.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL, project management (PMP), and financial management principles.
• Experience leading technical teams and engaging with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, maintenance, and lifecycle of telecommunications infrastructure.
• Develop and execute strategic infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Oversee teams for network operations, data center management, and infrastructure deployment.
• Ensure reliability, security, and scalability of all telecom infrastructure assets.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and equipment.
• Develop and manage infrastructure budget and resource allocation.
• Enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices.
• Lead complex infrastructure projects from conception to deployment.
