Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. This role focuses on delivering advanced technical assistance to customers, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring optimal performance of products and services.
You will work with engineering and product teams to resolve challenges and develop robust knowledge resources, while providing training to customers and staff as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk engineering role.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems, networking, and software applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level technical support to customers experiencing hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems via phone, email, and remote sessions.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and product performance data accurately.
- Collaborate with the product development team to provide feedback on product improvements and bug fixes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including FAQs and knowledge base articles.
- Conduct technical training sessions for customers and internal staff as needed.
