Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager in Randburg, Gauteng, to oversee complex technology implementations across software, hardware, and network infrastructure. The role demands leadership of cross-functional teams, vendor management, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years in project management with at least 5 years in technology implementation projects.
• Experience with ERP implementations, cloud migrations, or large-scale software rollouts.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software lifecycles, and networking concepts.
• PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (MS Project, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology implementation projects, including system rollouts and deployments.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, budgets, resources, and timelines.
• Manage project risks and issues, with mitigation strategies and escalation.
• Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management for technology partners.
• Ensure adherence to IT best practices, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Monitor progress, provide status reports, and manage scope changes.
• Ensure smooth transition of implemented solutions to operations teams.
• Mentor junior project managers and team members.
