Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to spearhead complex software implementation projects from its Gauteng hub in Tembisa. The role demands strategic oversight, meticulous planning, and delivery excellence across the full project lifecycle, with a focus on adopting technology within business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive project management, software implementation focus.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent software projects/teams.
• PMP/PRINCE2/Agile/Scrum Master is desirable.
• Deep understanding of SDLC and management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
• ERP/CRM implementations experience is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiar with Gauteng business landscape.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria with senior management and stakeholders.
• Create detailed project plans, schedules and budgets aligned to goals and resources.
• Lead, mentor and manage project teams with a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Oversee day-to-day project operations, progress tracking, resource management and issue resolution.
• Implement changes and interventions to achieve outputs.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management across the organisation in Tembisa, Gauteng.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance for software/services delivery.
• Prepare and present project status reports and outcomes to executives.
