Job summary

HID Global in Durban, South Africa, is seeking a Senior Systems QA Engineer to validate integration and performance of end‑to‑end physical access systems, spanning credentials, devices and cloud platforms.

You will work hands‑on in a lab/office setting, performing UX validation, test planning, and automation development to ensure robust system behavior across hardware and software and with real users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–7 years of software testing experience with UX/UAT focus.
• ISTQB CTFL certification or equivalent UX/UAT testing certification desirable.
• SAFe for Teams (SP) or other Agile certifications desirable in Agile/SAFe environments.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Integrate HID PACS portfolio and report on system performance, stability and UX.
• Maintain and evolve the systems/Solution lab for 24/7 operation including new product integrations.
• Perform both manual and automated testing and develop automation tools and HiL setups.
• Plan, execute, and document system-level test plans and non‑functional requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross‑functional teams to validate strategies.
• Review plans, defect reports and requirements to improve the test environment.
• Provide clear test reports and baseline performance data for stakeholders.
• Travel as required, including potential international travel.
