Job summary

HID Global in Durban, South Africa, is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality and performance of software, firmware, and integrated system solutions. You will design and execute test plans, perform manual and automated testing, and collaborate with developers in an Agile environment.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with Windows and web applications, plus familiarity with SDLC/STLC and test methodologies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Experience planning tests and writing comprehensive test cases.
• Experience executing manual and automated tests in Agile projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile team to understand requirements and user stories.
• Create test plans and test cases based on specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Document, prioritize, and report bugs using issue-tracking tools.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Continuously improve QA processes and efficiency.
