Job summary

HID Global in Durban, South Africa, is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of software, firmware, and integrated solutions. You will design test plans, execute tests, and collaborate closely with development teams in an Agile environment.

You should have at least 2 years of QA experience, strong knowledge of testing methods, Jira/TestRail, and exposure to Windows/Web applications and REST APIs. Join a global leader driving access control innovation.

Qualifications

2+ years' experience as a Software QA Engineer.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
Hands-on experience with Jira and TestRail.
Knowledge of Agile practices and SDLC/STLC.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Agile team to understand project requirements and user stories.
Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specs and acceptance criteria.
Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure software quality.
Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinements, and retrospectives.
Perform functional, integration, system and regression testing to validate updates.
Document, prioritise and report bugs using issue tracking tools.
Work with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Create and maintain automated test scripts and contribute to automation initiatives.
Continuously improve QA processes and efficiency.
