Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Senior Subsurface Data Manager to join our fully remote global team. You will develop data management strategies, standards, and workflows to support exploration, appraisal, and development activities in oil & gas operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing ingestion, validation, storage, and retrieval of geological, geophysical, and engineering data, managing databases and data warehouses, ensuring data quality and security, and training users on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Geoscience/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in subsurface data management within oil & gas.
• Knowledge of geological, geophysical and engineering data types.
• Experience with SQL Server or Oracle and data governance workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and remote-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement subsurface data management policies and standards.
• Oversee ingestion, validation, storage, and retrieval of data.
• Manage databases, data warehouses and related software for subsurface data.
• Ensure data quality and security across all datasets.
