Placements24 is seeking a Senior Subsurface Geoscientist to join a globally distributed, remote-first exploration and development team. You will interpret complex geological and geophysical data to identify hydrocarbon potential across assets.

The role emphasizes 3D modeling, basin analysis, reservoir characterization, and collaboration with engineers, with opportunities for international projects and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Geology/Geophysics or related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional subsurface geoscience experience.
• Experience in exploration or development projects.

Responsibilities

• Integrate seismic, well log, and core data to build 3D geological models.
• Conduct basin analysis and play fairway mapping for exploration targeting.
• Perform static and dynamic reservoir characterization studies.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and production geologists on development planning.
• Apply advanced geophysical interpretation techniques to subsurface structures.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for stakeholders.
